Updates
We will use this section of the site to post notes on any new versions or significant updates to the Adobe software that we cover in Digital Media Tools, 3rd edition. The book covers the CS3 versions of Bridge, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweave – currently the most up-to-date versions available.
There are therefore no updates as yet, but we do recommend that you check regularly for any "patches" released by Adobe for the programs you are using. These minor updates to the current versions of the software are free to download, and often include bug fixes. You can use the Adobe Updater – accessible from the Help menu in most programs – to make the process quicker and easier. If you find the Update too intrusive, you can download patches to install by hand from Adobe's Product Update page. Note that the "featured updates" listed on the page are not the only ones available. Use the pop-up menu near the top of the page to find updates for specific products.
You might wish to note that some patches take a surprisingly long time to install.
