- adjustment layer
- In Photoshop, an extension of the layer metaphor that provides a way of applying adjustments to an image non-destructively. Adjustment layers alter the appearance of layers beneath them, without permanently altering the pixels of the image, and can hidden to turned the adjusmtent off temporarily.
